Mangaluru: Police has arrested six persons in connection with the murder of rowdy-sheeter Rahul Hoigebazaar alias Kakke Rahul at Yemmekere grounds.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday May 9, Mangaluru Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar said that the arrested have been identified as Shubham of Bolara, Dhillesh Bangera (21) of Morgans Gate, Mahendra Shetty (27) resident of Yemmekere, Akshay Kumar (25) of Bolara, Sushit (20) of Yemmekere, and Vishnu P. (20) of Yemmekere. It is suspected that around 13 people are involved in the murder with eight among them having criminal antecedents. The weapons used in the crime including three swords, four sickles, and three knives, two two-wheelers, and five mobile phones have been seized, he added.
It can be recalled here that rowdy-sheeter Kakke Rahul was hacked to death at Yemmekere grounds on April 28.
