Bidar: Residents of Anadur in the taluk had been consuming water from a local water tank for the past five to six days, noticing an unusual odour in the supply. Complaints were lodged with the concerned department regarding the water’s smell. The staff were shocked to discover a dead body floating in the tank.

The residents had unknowingly consumed the contaminated water for several days, leaving them deeply disturbed by the revelation.

Sources said that a person named Raju, belonging to a nomadic tribe, allegedly died by suicide by jumping into the water tank, possibly a few days prior to the discovery. The nomadic tribe has been residing in the village for over a decade.

The police are investigating the case, and a team of doctors from the Health and Family Department visited the site to take necessary actions.
