Mangaluru: The Southern Railway will run special trains between Mangaluru and Arakkonam in Tamil Nadu in order to provide assistance to the passengers stranded owing to the flood in Chennai and neighbouring areas.
The train will leave Mangaluru Central at 8 pm on Friday December 4 and reach Arakkonam Junction at 10.30 am Saturday, December 5, a railway spokesperson said.
Similarly, a special train will leave Arakkonam Junction at 12 pm on December 5 and arrive at Mangaluru Central at 2.30 am on Sunday December 6.
Both the trains will stop at Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai and Katpadi Junctions.
