Mangaluru: The Institute of Konkani, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore in association with Sahitya Academy, New Delhi, Vishwa Konkani Centre, Shaktinagar, Michael D’Souza Vision Konkani and Raknno Weekly to hold a public homage to Veteran Konkani writer, Edwin J.F. D’Souza, who passed away recently, on Sunday, 19 November 2023 at 10 a.m. in the Sahodaya Hall of the College. He was recipient of the prestigious Kendra Sahitya Akademi awardee for his novel ‘Kalem Bhangar’.
Dr Chandralekha D’Souza, former Head, Department of Konkani of Goa University and poet-storyteller and translator, Kishoo Barkur will speak about Edwin D’Souza. Rev. Dr Melwyn S. Pinto, SJ, Director, Institute of Konkani, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), will pay homage to Edwin D’Souza.
Konkani literary organizations, students of Konkani literature and Edwin J. F. D’Souza’s fans will be given an opportunity to participate in the commemoration program and offer floral tributes.
