Mangaluru: What better place can startups showcase their skills than against one of Mangalore’s most loved shores, namely the Tannirbhavi beach? It is with this view in mind that Vishwas US, regional director of the International Federation of Inventors Association, chose this beach with its vibrant backdrop as the venue for Emerge 2024, which he intends to celebrate as the Tapasya beach festival from the 16th to the 18th of February this year.

This is indeed an event that budding entrepreneurs look forward to presenting their concept in a way that connects with the needs of the people of this region. The venue is going to see an overall of 20 startups bringing new consents, along with students, all coming together for ideation addressing some of the hottest topics today like AI, IPR technology transfer, and so on.

Overall, one can expect to see about 100 startups in the city, coming together on this day, with 50 investors looking to fund these new ventures and 1000 who will simply be participating in the event.

Of these, only 25 will be going home with prizes of Rs. one lakh. The rest will not go home empty as the event plans to integrate with traditional topics like medicine, education, and tourism, all coming together to open a huge door to various flutter developments in the city in one of the most innovative ways.

The main aim of the event is to nurture the startup ecosystem in the city, which has clearly shown immense potential in the past few years.

This we can see from the fact that we have the world’s youngest CEO, chairman of Globals Inc., and T-Hub who will be gracing the day by inaugurating the event.

Overall, young entrepreneurs attending the day can expect a lot of fun as efforts are being made to gamify the entire event. In addition to that, one can even enjoy the food festival, triathlon, medical hackathon, and other exciting things around.

For now, we can begin by shouting out three cheers to those leading at the forefront of the event, namely Naveenchandra Hegde, and Dr Asha Jyothi Rai, both of whom serve as trustees of the Tapasya Foundation. They sure deserve some credit for taking on a project as huge as this, don’t they?
