State government unveils ‘Child protection policy 2016’

Mangaluru: In order to protect children from abuse and exploitation, the State government has unveiled new child protection policy 2016.

The policy will give due protection to children below 18 years studying in educational institutions and other centres of learning. The policy will be applicable to all government departments, law enforcing agencies, non-governmental agencies which interact with children directly or indirectly. The policy will also be applicable to educational institutions and others institutions involved in the welfare of children.
