Mangaluru: Vana Samvardhana programme held at Subhramanya in coordination with Seva Bharathi Sullia, Karnataka state forest department and other organization on Tuesday.
The programme was held in order to enhance the greenery in Kukke Subramanya region. The inauguration was done by planting 14 different varieties of saplings by 14 guests.
Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “Every temple coming under religious endowments department will be sent an order to conduct such Vanasamvardhana programme.”
Further Fisheries, Ports and Inland transport minister S Angara said, “This programme aims to enhance greenery. Planting a wide variety of plants including ayurvedic medicinal plants is indeed a model programme.
