sanilMangaluru: The high drama surrounding a fight between two young children, involving that of Mangaluru city Mayor has taken a new turn with the Mayor now filing a counter complaint alleging threat to her daughter from the security personnel’s wife.

The Mayor, in a press conference on Saturday had clarified that the allegation levied on her are politically driven. Stating that she did visit the security personnel’s house after she came to know that the woman had tried to manhandle her daughter since she confronted her son when he touched her with a hot sparkling stick on Diwali day.

The woman had even slapped Trisha (Mayor’s daughter) and when she was questioned about her behavior both she and her husband threatened to kill her daughter, mentions the complaint lodged at Barke police station on Saturday October 28.

Barke police said they have registered a case and are investigating the same.

It may be recalled that Kamala, originally hailing from Bagalkot and now living in the out house of the apartment where Mayor has been living, appeared before Pandeshwar Women’s police station and said that she was manhandled by the Mayor just because she prevented her daughter from venturing out of the apartment premises.

She was backed by couple of BJP corporators.
