Three cases of theft solved: Four arrested

Mangaluru: In three separate incidents of theft, the police arrested four people who were looting valuables from people in vehicles after ensnaring them by showing a knife.

The arrested are identified as Deekshith, Chandra, Prajwal and Santhosh Poojary. These are part of a gang whose members are already in prison for involvement in drug dealing, sand smuggling and such other crimes.

It is also reported that the arrested were trying to plan the murder of opponent gang members Pradeep and Vijay. As the members needed money for bigger crimes and buying weapons they were also planning to do a highway robbery.

Another incident was of bike theft near Kulshekar Katte. These two incidents were reported under Kankanady police station limits. Both these incidents are of night theft.

The third incident, which was of vehicle theft was reported from Mangaluru rural police station limits where a scooter was stolen. Police have recovered the vehicles, cash, phones, and weapons from the arrested.
