Mangaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is in Mangaluru was rather surprised to get a slice of Tuluva culture at the Mangaluru International Airport on Friday, October 9.
Dasara festivities going on, Tulunadu turns resplendent with colourful celebrations and traditional ‘Pili Vesha’ or Tiger dance is one of the feast for eyes during this season.
CM Siddaramaiah experienced this beautiful culture as Tiger Dancers accorded a warm traditional welcome outside the airport by dancing to the tunes of traditional percussion before he could proceed with his programme.
The CM seemed to be enthralled as he attentively witnessed the dance and the Tigers too made sure the CM posed with them for some selfies. The dance show was organised by Youth Congress leader Mithun Rai, who organises Tiger Dance competitions on a very large scale every year during Dasara.
