A tragic incident unfolded on Sunday, March 24, near Natekal on the outskirts of the city, resulting in the loss of a woman’s life and severe injuries to another individual.
The deceased, identified as Srinidhi (29), was the wife of Deekshith and a resident of Bondel. She was riding pillion on a bike driven by Yathish Devadiga, a relative of Srinidhi. Yathish sustained serious injuries in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The accident occurred as the duo was returning from a housewarming ceremony of their relative in Mudipu. Near Natekal Green Ground, the rider lost control of the bike, resulting in a collision with the divider. Despite medical efforts, Srinidhi tragically succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The Mangaluru South Traffic Police have registered a case regarding this incident.
