Udupi : A financier from Udupi Santosh Monteiro(37) allegedly ended his life by shooting himself to death even as his family members were at home on May 28, Tuesday night.
It is said, Santoshs wife Rekha and his children were in another room when he shot at himself. The family lived in an apartment at Shiribeedu Towers in the town.
Santosh who worked in Qatar in the past, had returned hometown two years ago. His father Salvadore Monteiro ran a finance company at Bajpe.
Though the reasons that might have prompted Santosh to end life are not known, sources reveal that a family problem might have led to the act.
Investigations are underway.
