Uppinangady: College suspends 6 girls for wearing Hijab - 1 min read

Mangaluru: Six girl students were suspended for wearing Hijab from the Government First Grade College at Uppinangady in Puttur Taluk of the Dakshina Kannada District.

The decision was taken at a staff meeting in the college.

A group clash ensued between students of two communities on the college premises. Police had to intervene to settle the matter and disperse the crowd.
