Mangaluru: In an incident of moral policing reported from Siribagilu Village of Dakshina Kannada District on Tuesday April 5, miscreants waylaid a Muslim youth who was travelling with his Hindu girlfriend in an autorickshaw.
The 21-year-old youth was stopped by miscreants while travelling an autorickshaw with his girlfriend near Siribagilu Village on Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway. When on enquiry it was revealed that the boy was Muslim, the accused hit him on head and face. They also abused the couple.
Accused have been identified and a case has been registered under Sections 143, 147, 341, 504, 323, 324, 506 and 153(a) of the Indian Penal Code at Uppinangady Police Station.
