UT Khader assists divers at Someshwar beach to retrieve dead bodies

Mangaluru: Health Minister UT Khader has time and again shown his down to earth nature, but on Sunday, he visited Someshwar beach near Ullal at around 1 pm after four youth drowned in the sea and assisted the divers in fishing out their bodies until 3 pm.

While three bodies were recovered, dead body of one student is yet to be traced.

Four out of six youth who plunged into the sea for on Sunday afternoon drowned. They are Mohammed Haneef (24), Mohammed Suhaid (23), Imran Pasha (24) and Shahid Kaleem (25). Two others, Sahil and Sadiq managed to swim ashore to safety.

The youth had come to Ullal in three bikes and had planned to visit the Dargah. Before going to the Dargah, they had gone to the beach for a swim. A case stands registered at Ullal police station.
