Yellow alert issued in Dakshina Kannada till May 14

Mangaluru: In the wake of the Asani cyclone effect in the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in Dakshina Kannada district till May 14.

In the early hours of Wednesday May 11, heavy rains were accompanied by lightning and thunder in many parts of Dakshina Kannada.

However, only a few places had light to moderate rainfall.
