Udupi: In a joint operation by the District Labour department along with district district Child Labour Project Society, education department, woman and child welfare department, the child rescue unit rescued 10 child laborers here on Tuesday September 29.
The children who are below 14 years were employed for picking fish at the Malpe port. Among the 10 children rescued, eight are girls.
According to sources the children are from Uttara Kannada district.
