Udupi: Student union protest demanding immediate action must be taken against death of a female student Nikita in a Hospital, Nikita a female student from Kaup of Udupi who died earlier on Wednesday, 21 June 2023, the student unions and local organisations alleges negligence and carelessness of the hospital staff resulted to Nikita’s death.
ABVP, a student wing affiliated to BJP, protested against in front of the city hospital by blocking the road, hundreds of students across the district had joined the protest where some outrageous protestors tried breaking into the hospital but was forcibly stopped by the police, resulting in heated arguments between the students and the protestors.
Talking to the reporter the president of Kulala sangha told, “They have seemingly diverted attention away from the case, Following the student’s death, both the family and the police were deprived of adequate information.”
The members of Kulala Sangha will hand over a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police, District Health Officer and DC, and also threatens of district wide agitations if serving justice would be delayed.
