‘Allow Muslims to do business during temple annual festivals’

Udupi: The Udupi District Street Vendors and Traders’ Association has urged the District Administration to allow Muslim street vendors to set up stalls during Hindu festivals and annual temple fairs.

Addressing mediapersons District Secretary Mohammed Arif said that so far all Hindu and Muslim vendors were undertaking business together in unison like brothers in all the festivals. He further requested the temple administration committees to allow Muslims to put up stalls and do business as usual.

Further, he said that earlier the banners were placed asking not allow Muslim vendors to put up stalls during the annual festival of Marigudi Temple, Kaup.
