Udupi: Aravind KP, the holder of 18 national championships and one international championship, has been selected for the Dakar Rally that will be held in Dakar, France in 2017.
The racer from Kadiyali was selected for the rally after he completed all the rounds in Oilibya Rally of Morocco held in Africa and grabbed the 26th place in it. He is being sponsored by Sherco and TVS.
Aravind, the current national champion is the first Indian to win a motocross championship overseas for India. He secured the 17th place in the 450 extreme bikes category and 19th in the bikes and quad category.
He is the son of K Prabhakar Upadhyaya and Usha Prabhakar from Kadiyali. Aravind is all excited to compete in Dakar and aims to do his bes
