Udupi: Padubidri police have booked seven people, including a rowdy sheeter, for cutting the birthday cake with a sword. In connection with the case, three people have been arrested.
Jeethendra Shetty, Ganesh Poojary, and Sharath Shetty have been identified as the arrested accused. The other accused, Niranjan Shettigar, Tanuj, Sooraj, and Anish, are still absconding.
It was on May 30 that the gang celebrated Niranjan Shettigar’s birthday at the residence of rowdy sheeter Jeethendra Shetty. They allegedly cut the cake with lethal weapons and posted images and videos on social media.
Following this, police raided the residence and arrested three people.
