ITI Principal charged of issuing fake certificate

Udupi: A case has been registered against the Principal of a private aided college for issuing fake certificate to student in lieu of money.

The accused is Gilbert Breganza, Principal of St Mary’s ITI, Chitpady in Udupi.

It is said that Breganza had issued a fake certificate to Arun Anthony in 2014, stating that Anthony had passed a particular mechanical course from the college. Breganza had forged the signature of head of the institute Mathew Vaz.

In another case, Breganza has also been accused of barging into the office of Fr Frederick Mascarenhas at Mother of Sorrows Church here and posing threat to him.

Case has been registered at Udupi Police Station.
