Udupi: Accusations against former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa have been raised by Santosh Lad, the Udupi district in-charge secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Addressing reporters in the city today, BJP members initiated a campaign against Yediyurappa, alleging that he interfered in the administration during his tenure as Chief Minister, favoring his son Vijayendra.
Lad claimed that Yediyurappa unethically allowed Vijayendra to meddle in government affairs. He stated that the BJP members are launching an anti-corruption campaign against Yediyurappa.
Previously, during Yediyurappa’s Chief Ministerial term with the Bharatiya Janata Party, Vijayendra was sidelined, citing the need for the son to refrain from intervening in government affairs. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has now made this stance clear, Lad mentioned.
On the issue of bar workers, Lad stated that the central government does not allocate funds for them, and there is no permission to meet the central secretary to address the matter.
