Luck runs out for burglar, lands in police net

Karkala: An offender involved in multiple burglaries at houses and temples, finally landed in police net on December 14.
Accused Umanath Prabhu is an original resident of Uppinangadi, presently residing in a lane opposite Miyar Church. According to police sources, accused Umanath Prabhu is involved in nine burglary cases including one at a temple.

Police seized 134 gms of gold, 250 grams of silver and Rs 14,000 cash from the accused.

It is gathered that finger prints of the accused led to his arrest.

Cases had been registered against him, earlier in Udupi town and Hebri police station limits.

A team led by Circle inspector Joy Antony succeeded in nabbing the accused under the guidance of Karkala ASP Dr. Sumana D P.
