Udupi: Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of the Paryaya Pejawar Mutt conferred the first ‘Rashtra Ratna Prashasti’ instituted by the Mutt, to the founder of Infosys N.R. Narayana Murthy on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering Pejawar Seer, who recently ascended to the Paryaya Peeth for the record fifth time said that Narayana Murthy is the one who put Bengaluru on the map of world in IT sector.
In his acceptance speech, Narayana Murthy said that he was delighted and enthused at getting the award.
The Managing Director and CEO of Karnataka Bank Ltd. P. Jayarama Bhat and the Managing Director of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) Chikkananjappa were also felicitated on the occasion.
