Udupi: Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math underwent a surgery at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal on Wednesday October 25.
Pejawar Swamiji was admitted to KMC hospital on Wednesday after completing his daily religious rituals where he underwent the surgery to remove a hernia tumour from his abdomen.
Pejawar Swamiji had earlier undergone a hernia operation on August 20 but had complained of stomach ache several times even after it. The doctors who performed an overall examinations advised the Swamiji to undergo the hernia tumour surgery to which the seer agreed.
Swamiji will have to remain in the hospital for next couple of days and later he will be discharged, stated hospital sources.
