Udupi: IAS officer of the 2009 batch, Priyanka Mary Francis took charge as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Udupi Zilla Panchayat here on Tuesday, November 17.
Priyanka holds a degree in Electronic Engineering (Instrumentation). After her IAS, she was appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of Belgaum. She was then promoted as Belgaum Commissioner. Priyanka has also rendered service as the CEO of Chikkamagaluru Zilla Panchayat.
Outgoing CEO, M Kanagavalli, has been posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Koppal. Officials and members of the Zilla Panchyat hailed Kanagavalli for her achievements and expressed hope that Priyanka too would do justice to her position.
