Udupi: Bhasa gallery holds folk art workshop

Udupi: Under the auspices of Bhavana Foundation, Havanje and Bhasa Gallery and Studio, a series of workshops on folk indigenous arts were organised at Bhasa Gallery in Badagupete on Saturday April 1.

In this workshop, the traditional art form of The State of Orissa called ‘Patachitra’ was introduced. National Award-winning artiste Gitanjali Das from Orissa conducted a workshop on ‘Patachitra’ and ‘Tala Patachitra’ on a palm leaf created in clothes, and paper.

The workshop was inaugurated by Ravindra K., Trustee, Ventana Foundation. The Chief Guest was Professor B. S. Manjunath, Head, Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Science, Manipal.
