Udupi: The Kaup Block Congress Committee (KPCC) under the leadership of North Zone staged a protest at Athrady demanding that the National Highway from Parkala to Guddeyangadi, the main road in Udupi and Karkala, be repaired.
Hundreds of Congress workers took part in the protest and shouted slogans against the BJP Government. They blocked the highway for sometime and shouted slogans against the District Administration and the Government. They warned that if the road is not repaired soon, we will lay siege to the offices of MPs and MLAs.
The protesters demanded that the road be repaired immediately.
