Udupi: Cop rescues man who fell ill on railway track

Udupi: RPAF Inspector Sudheer Shetty rescued an old man, who fell ill on the railway track at Indrali on Monday March 6. The police officer’s punctuality has been praised in public circles.

The train was arriving at Indrali Railway Station for a stop. Sudhir noticed a man lying on the railway track and immediately lifted the man off the railway track. Later, social worker Nithyananda Volakadu was informed. He immediately responded and admitted the sick person to Ajjarakadu District Hospital in City.

During the process of admission, the unidentified person claimed that his name was Madhav (65), his father was Ramchandra, and a resident of Porabandar, Gujarat. Relatives have been advised to contact the District Hospital.
