Udupi: Four held for stealing mobile phones from store

Udupi: Police arrested four people  on Friday July 8 for reportedly breaking into a store and stealing mobile phones worth Rs. 25,000 near Mooduganapathi Temple of Uppunda village in Kundapur.

The four arrested accused have been identified as Bhatkal Murudeshwar Mavalli residents Mohammed Ifzal (27), Mohammed Aseem Donna (20), Mohammed Rafi (21) and Mohammed Rahik (22).

According to sources, the accused broke into a store owned by Bijoor resident Prashanth and stole 17 keypad mobile phones worth Rs. 25,000, Rs. 3,500 in cash, power banks, and Bluetooth devices worth Rs. 5,000 on July 5.

Mobile phones worth Rs 20,000 and a car worth Rs. 8 lakh that was used in the crime were seized from the accused.
