Udupi: Guest lecturers’ honorarium released

Udupi: Udupi Government Degree College has released grants to pay honorarium for the months of September and October to guest lecturers who were on duty for the year 2021 – 22.

Honorarium should be paid only to those candidates who have been approved by the Office of the Regional Joint Director. Action will be taken against the Principal of the concerned college if honorarium is paid without obtaining approval.

According to the number of students in the college, the recruitment should have been done to supplement the workload. Honorarium cannot be paid by giving wrong information. The funds have been released only for the months of September and October. It is mandatory to pay the honorarium for a particular month at the earliest. The Department has told the principals not to delay or retain the funds among themselves.

The guest lecturers working in 37 Government Degree Colleges in Mangaluru Division including Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu, have been given Rs. 3.19 Crore as honorarium for the months of September and October.
