Udupi: “Udupi is popularly known as temple town as it is blessed with a number of temples. I am happy to be here and participate in such a historical event, said Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot here on Thursday August 25.
He was speaking after the inauguration of silver jubilee celebration of Udupi District, he said, “Udupi has grown speedily after the formation of a separate District. Even infrastructure have been developed on a large-scale.”
The programme was kicked off by MLA Raghupati Bhat with a Shobhayatra, which began from the Board High School, near the service bus stand here. On the occasion, the Governor was felicitated.
