Udupi: Illegal transport of cattle, 2 held

Udupi: The team of Gangolli Police led by Sub-Inspector Vinay Korlahalli was conducting an inspection and found that cattle were being transported illegally in a pick-up vehicle on National Highway 66 bear Araati Bus Stop in Hosadu Village in the District on Friday November 11.

Two accused have been arrested in this connection. The arrested are identified as Usman and Joseph D’Souza. Shekhar Shetty has escaped. According to the police, the two animals were being illegally transported from Mowadi to Kundapur.

A case has been registered at Gangolli Police Station.
