Udupi: As per the complaint by public, the Superintendent of police (SP) Hakay Akshay Machhindra led the raid on transgenders in illicit trade near City bus stand.
The raid was carried out on the intervening night of Thursday December 15 and Friday December 16 and two pimps were taken into custody. The public has given complaint that transgenders are involved in illicit trade near City and service bus stands, and they trouble vehicle riders and demand money from them.
In addition, there were complaints that they damage the street lights.
