Udupi: In a tragic incident, a lorry caught fire after the tyre of a moving lorry exploded and caught fire on National Highway 63 at Arabail Ghat on Yellapur National Highway on Saturday March 4.
The tyre of the truck, which was on its way to Kerala from Mumbai, exploded near Arabail. Immediately, a fire broke out in the back of the lorry.
As per the information provided by the locals, the Fire Brigade and police rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire.
Fortunately, no one was injured and there was a traffic jam due to the burning of a lorry in the middle of the Highway.
A complaint has been registered at Yellapur Police Station.
