Udupi: Denied ticket, Krishnamurthy Acharya resigns from Congress

Udupi: Krishnamurthy Acharya has resigned from the primary membership of the Congress in the wake of losing the Congress ticket.

He submitted his resignation letter to Congress Udupi district president Ashok Kumar Kodur. I am resigning due to personal reasons. Therefore, I request you to kindly accept my resignation.”

The Congress high command has announced businessman Prasad Raj Kanchan for the Udupi assembly constituency. Krishnamurthy, who was a strong contender for this, has expressed his displeasure against the party itself. He held a meeting of his fans and announced that he would contest as an independent candidate.
