Udupi: The people of Kudubi and Marathi communities living in different parts of Kundapur Taluk of Udupi District celebrated Holi with folk fervour.

The festival of Holi poornima came to an end on the full moon day starting from Ekadashi in the month of Phalguna. About three months before Holi, Kudubi and Marathi people prepare for holi.

The importance of celebrations is even more important than the colour in the Holi full moon festival. The festival of Holi is not only limited to celebrations but is also associated with the essence of life.

There is a lot of recognition for the Gumate dance and Kolata in the celebration of the festival of Holi.
