Udupi: Missing man’s body found in river

Udupi: The body of a man who left his home, claiming to be going fishing in the Sita River was discovered in the same river near Kiradi of the Avarse Village Kundapur Taluk of the District.

The deceased has been identified as Udaya Naika, a 43-year-old resident of Avarse Doddahaklu Heskunda. He worked as a mason.

Udaya left the house on Monday September 19 and claimed to be going fishing in the Sita River, but he never came back. His body was discovered in the Sita River after residents and family members searched for him.

It is suspected that Udaya must have mistakenly slipped and fell into the river. At the police station in Kota, a case has been filed in this regard.
