He was speaking after inaugurating the 11th National Dragon Boat Championship which is being held from Thirsday February 23 and will go upto Sunday February 26.
This is the first time that this match is being played in the State.
A total of 480 men and 107 women from 16 States are participating in the competition. The competition will be held in 18 distance categories of 200 metres, 500 metres, and 2 kilometres.
