Udupi: A woman was killed after being hit by a motorbike on the evening of Sunday January 22. She was crossing the road at Katapadi-Shirva near Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology, Bantakal.
The deceased has been identified as Yellamma (55). She was residing near Bantakal College.
The motorbike was moving towards Katapadi end. Though she was rushed to the District Hospital, the doctors declared that she was brought dead. Biker too has sustained injuries and has been admitted to hospital.
Shirva Police is investigating.
