Udupi: NABARD has released Rs. 10,689.27 Crore to District for the year 2023-24. The loan is earmarked for various sectors. During 2022 – 23, Rs. 12,659.26 Crore has been allocated.
At the quarterly progress review meeting of the District Banks at the G. P. Auditorium on Tuesday December 27, the CEO Prasanna H. unveiled the loan plan for the year 2023 – 24.
NABARD DDM Sangeeta Karta said that Rs 5,759 Crore has been sanctioned for loans related to crop production, management and marketing, agricultural credit and allied activities, agricultural infrastructure, and ancillary activities. Of this, Rs 1,355 Crore has been allocated for crop production, management and marketing are earmarked, Rs. 1,635 Crore will be earmarked for agricultural credit and other activities, Rs. 465 Crore for agricultural infrastructure and Rs. 2,302 Crore for promoting allied activities. Rs 3,559 Crore for micro, small and medium enterprises, Rs. 304 Crore for construction facility for industry, plant etc. related to export sector, Rs. 126 Crore for education loan, Rs. 832 Crore for housing construction loan, Rs. 39 Crore for loan related to renewable energy (solar plant etc.) and Rs. 68 Crore allocated for social infrastructure.
