Udupi: One drowns, five rescued at Malpe Beach

Udupi: One person drowned while lifeguards saved five others in separate incidents at Malpe Beach on Wednesday October 5, informed the police.

Salam Cherry, a youth from Bengaluru, and Abrar from Mysuru, both went missing on Tuesday. Both of them were saved by lifeguards.

Both men were admitted to KMC hospital in Manipal. However, Abrar died without responding to treatment.

In another case, Toshib from Mysuru attempted suicide, but alert lifeguards succeeded in saving him.

Senthil from Salem, Tamil Nadu, Basaraju from Vijayapura, Namaz, and Soham Gosh from Bengaluru went missing after getting swept away by the strong waves. The lifeguards managed to save all four men.
