Udupi: ‘Priority will be given to encroached land clearance’

Udupi: Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao said that steps will be taken as per priority to remove encroachments on public places in the District.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Deputy Commissioner’s Nade Halli Nade programme at Shiroor Village under Byrampalli limits on Saturday October 15. “Spaces have been reserved in different areas in the District for the convenience of the public for their purpose. Action will be taken against those who have encroached on such lands and priority will be given to the eviction drive and the areas cleared will be used only for public purposes, he said.

On the 3rd Saturday of every month, Grama Vasthavya Programme is being conducted in the District with District Level officials to provide on-the-spot solutions to the problems of the public and also to inform the public about the facilities available in various departments. He urged the public to take full advantage of the programme.
