Udupi: The Governor-designate of Andhra Pradesh, Retired Supreme Court judge Abdul Nazeer, arrived at his Guru M. K. Vijay Kumar’s residence at Suvrata Bhavan in Karkala of the District before taking oath as the Governor.
On this occasion, Senior Advocate M.vK. Vijay Kumar appreciated the contributions of his student Abdul Nazeer, to the Indian Judiciary.
“His historic verdict in the settlement of the Ayodhya case, verdict in favour of Muslim women in the Talaq case, autonomy of the Indian Cricket Board, on conservation and development of lakes in Bengaluru City, legitimacy of Kambala in Tulunadu, and right to privacy of Indian citizens as a fundamental right among others. The hundreds of judgments delivered by him in a highly just and Constitutional manner in several such cases will be a guiding light for the Indian Judiciary for many years to come, he said.
