Udupi: One of the main demands of the people of Guddamadi and Senapura area, Senapura – Bantwadi Main Road development works have been completed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana grant. With the true interest of Shivamogga Constituency MP B. Y. Raghavendra and MLA of Byndoor Constituency B. M. Sukumara Shetty, the road has been developed after four decades.
The narrow and conjested Senapura and Bantwadi road has been widened and a concrete road has been constructed to enable smooth movement of vehicles. In Guddammadi ‘Tengina Gundi’, which was built in the past olden days was in a dilapidate condition, the old bridge was demolished, and a new bridge was built, which has fulfilled the demand of the people.
The semand for development of Senapura – Nada Road
The main road connecting Senapura to Nada has completely deteriorated from near Finney Factory to about 500 metres and the residents have demanded that the main road should be developed. In the wake of economic recovery, the running of some buses, which were suspended during the Covid period, on the Alur and Noojadi route has increased again, which has given the public and students a sigh of relief.
“The trips which were suspended during the Covid have been increased again. The quality of the roads has also improved and more trips will be conducted as per the demand of the people,” said Sachidananda Shetty Aluru of Jayadurga bus.
“There is a satisfaction that the demand of the people of Senapura and Guddammadi environment has been fulfilled. I am thanking our government and MPs of the constituency. Nada and Senapura Main Road will be developed. High priority will be given to the basic amenities of the people of Byndoor Constituency, said MLA B. M. Sukumara Shetty.
