Udupi: In the backdrop of tense situation in Shivamogga with clashes on Independence Day, a strict vigil is in place in the District. Strict traffic checks are being in various parts of the City.
The information from commuters at check-posts are being collected. As many as 20 check-posts have been set up across the district.
District Superintendent of Police has stated that the security arrangements currently is in place till Tuesday August 16.
