Udupi: Siddapur Lift Irrigation project of Kundapur Taluk in the District has been approved by State Cabinet on Thursday August 25.
By this irrigation project farmers of Ajri, Kodladi, Amparu, Karkunje, and Siddapur will get the water for irrigation. The decision was taken by Irrigation Minister Govinda Karjol after discussing issues faced by the farmers with the concerned officials.
The farmers of these villages were deprived of irrigation facilities as the villages were on the right side of the Varahi Baladande Canal.
