Udupi: Surathkal Circle would definitely be renamed after Veer Savarkar, said MLA Bharath Shetty on Wednesday January 18.
He was speaking after laying the Rs. 5 lakh foundation stone for the development of the Surathkal junction.
Bharat Shetty informed that the corporation-level formalities to rename the circle Veer Savarkar have been completed.
He claimed that the protesters at the toll gates were certain that they would be merged in February and that this was the main reason they were staging the protests.
