Udupi: The Kemmannu suspension bridge, constructed during the Thonse Mandal Panchayat to connect the citizens of Thimmannakudru, is being used as a tourist destination and currently dangerous.
“In view of the fact that instructions were issued to the public and tourists about the suspension bridge but it was found to be violated, a statement from the Thonse Gram Panchayat expressed.
“As per the decision of the panchayat General Body Meeting, the movement on the bridge has been restricted till the bridge is reconstructed and steps have been taken to temporarily close it,” it added.
